I have a 1993 Ford Explorer that will not start all it does is make a clicking noise can you help me with what to check?

If it makes several clicks (click, click, click , etc) when you try to start it. You need to replace the battery. Even if your head lights work and your radio works. This is because the starter requires a greater amount of amperage than the battery has where as the radio and lights do not require as much.
If you only get one hard click, then you need to replace the starter.
