Question:
I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. Lately the A/C has been shutting down, intermittently. it will work fine sometimes...then others (like last night),nothing! I don''t think it is the cold air (freon or whatever they put in.....as it''s not like it blows warm air....) it''s something related to the blower I think...since when it works...it blows cold air...when it doesn''t...nothing comes out! PS I''m in Florida...so we need the A/C! Please help.
Answer:
If the fan works on high only then you need to have the blower motor resistor replaced. ( this is when it does work ) and if it doesn't work on any fan speed at all ( when its not working ) then you need to have the blower motor itself replaced ( internal contacts are worn ) .
