This is totally different from the Polo Classic we had before. The Polo is basically a VW Viento (itself a stretched Polo) from India, a car developed for that market. It hits the notes right including a diesel engine. Don't just jump for joy yet at P950,000 (P888,000 Sp. Intro Price), it does have rear window cranks and no power mirrors. VW's approach is reminiscent to those who are familiar with the 1st generation Accent CRDi sedan formula.

The Good: Available diesel engine, cheapest 'German engineered' car locally available.

The Bad: Very basic amenities for the price, SRP buys you a TOTL Accent CRDi.
